Working with FundingLinks

How does FundingLinks get paid?

By Chris Findlow · 21 July 2026

FundingLinks is an independent broker, not a lender. We are usually paid a commission by the lender when your facility completes. If any fee would apply to you, we agree it with you in writing before you proceed, so there are no surprises. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZB613470.

Straightforwardly, and we would rather you know up front.

FundingLinks is an independent commercial finance broker, not a lender. In most cases we are paid a commission by the lender when your facility completes. That is a normal way brokers are paid, and it means our starting point is finding a facility that actually works for you, because a deal that does not complete does not pay us either.

If a fee would ever apply to you directly, we agree it with you in writing before you proceed. No fee appears out of nowhere at the end.

A few things worth knowing about how we operate:

  • We compare the market. We work across more than 100 UK lenders rather than pushing one product.
  • We are transparent about costs. You will understand the cost of a facility, ours and the lender’s, before you commit to anything.
  • We are registered with the ICO under reference ZB613470, and our complaints procedure is set out in our privacy, GDPR and complaints policy.

If you want to understand how a specific deal would be structured and paid for, ask us directly and we will walk you through it.
